    Summary

    The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS) has made mini-grant contracts available. The mini-grant contract applications, must be approved by the NOHS prior to the applicant incurring any expenditures. A mini-grant is typically for the purchase of a specific item or a short-term (not longer than 30 days) activity.


    Mini-grants are available for the following items: Preliminary Breath Testers (PBTs); Radars; In-car Cameras; Selective Overtime Enforcement; Underage Alcohol-Related Selective Overtime Equipment; Public Information and Education; Training, workshops, and conferences.     Additional Information

    The mini-grant contractor is responsible for submitting the Mini-Grant Claim for Reimbursement (CR) with a copy of support documentation substantiating expenditures associated with each mini-grant contract issued. The request(s) must be completed and submitted to the NOHS as reimbursement is needed and/or upon completion of the mini-grant contract. CRs are processed upon receipt of the correct documentation.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are Nebraska Law Enforcement Agencies. In FY2022, priority consideration will be given to the following counties: Adams, Buffalo, Cass, Colfax, Dawes, Dodge, Douglas, Gage, Hall, Lancaster, Lincoln, Madison, Merrick, Phelps, Platte, Saline, Sarpy, Saunders, Scotts Bluff, Seward, Sheridan, Wayne, York.

    Applications are to be submitted by March 31, annually.
