    Summary

    1st Source Foundation was established to enhance and to strengthen the social, economic and cultural fabric of the communities served by their banking centers. They do this by: (1) Supporting those organizations which have demonstrated their ability to make a fundamental difference; (2) Promoting local development efforts and sound business purposes; and (3) Serving as a model corporate citizen.


    To that end, 1st Source Foundation provides support to organizations working in the following areas:

    • Social welfare and human services
    • Education
    • Culture and the arts
    • Community, civic and neighborhood involvement
     

    History of Funding

    This past year, 1st Source Bank and 1st Source Foundation donated more than $1.9 million to over 200 non-profit organizations in our communities. Additionally, 1st Source employees volunteered more than 22,000 hours to community organizations.

    Additional Information

    The Foundation's preference is to partner with organizations that have proven themselves successful in achieving their mission, rather than funding new organizations. Special consideration is given to those nonprofit, charitable and community organizations in which 1st Source employees play an active role.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are 501(c)3 organizations operating in 1st Source Bank territories of Indiana.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are to be submitted by April 25 or September 25, annually.

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary by proposal. Applicants should illustrate (1) sources of financial support other than 1st Source and (2) ability to financially sustain itself beyond the year(s) in which a 1st Source contribution is made.
