    Incorporated on January 29, 1953, the focus of the Parker Hannifin Foundation is to support educational institutions, health care organizations, and various local charities. Millions of dollars are donated by the Foundation each year to organizations that are making a difference in the lives of Parker employees and the communities they call home.

    Every Parker location is focused on local community support and fundraising activities. In addition to donations, many employees also volunteer their time; dedicating countless hours in support of organizations that appeal to a personal connection. Company sponsored fundraising drives include everything from holiday gifts, coats and backpack collections; to funds for education, the arts, medical research, community support organizations, and much more.

    The Parker Hannifin Foundation extends the goodwill of Parker's employees often matching gifts and donations that benefit the community. The Parker Hannifin Foundation will provide support for organizations within the following fields of interest:

    History of Funding

    The Parker Hannifin Foundation gave a total of $8,694,339 in grants in 2015. Organizations that have been supported include: American Heart Association, Great Lakes Science Center, Newspapers in Education, Habitat for Humanity, Cleveland Sustainability Network, LEAF, Junior Achievement, Exeter Math Institute, Holden Arboretum, and Cleveland Museum of Art. In 2016, the foundation gave a total of $5,934,992.

  • Eligibility Details

    Giving primarily is limited to non profit organizations in Ohio, with special interest in Cuyahoga County. No grants to individuals.

    Deadline Details

    Proposals are accepted throughout the year. Initial approach should be through a Letter of Intent. Board meetings are held in January and July annually. An application form is not required.

    Award Details

    Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Awards are up to $1,000,000. The foundation matches contributions made by employees of Parker-Hannifin to educational institutions on a one-for-one basis from $20 to $5,000 per employee, per institution, per year up to $10,000 per employee, per year.
