The Westerman Foundation is committed to investing in Catholic education and organizations that promote Catholic values. Through annual grant awards the Foundation partners with Catholic organizations in service of students, families, and the community. The Westerman Foundation's 2025 Funding Plan remains focused on advancing core pillars of their mission:
(1) Catholic Education - Supporting faith-based learning and the spiritual formation of youth
(2) Family Resilience - Strengthening families and communities through responsive support services
(3) Women's Empowerment - Uplifting women through education, resources, and leadership development
The Westerman Foundation has provided over $5.4 million in grant funding to over 240 organizations across the United States. ?
?In general, the Foundation does not fund grants for the following purposes:
The Westerman Foundation supports IRS-registered, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organizations. These organizations must be based in the United States and provide program services in the United States. Further, awards support only those organizations which are Catholic education institutions or Catholic nonprofits.
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications. Following an invitation, applicants will receive instructions on how to access and submit proposals through the Foundation's online application portal, which must be submitted by September 30, 2025. Similar deadlines are anticipated annually.
The maximum award annually is limited to $50,000.
