The Federal Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program provides criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. JAG funds cannot be used for:
Eligible applicants are Kansas state and local units of government, Native American tribes and nonprofit and faith-based organizations.
Applications were to be submitted by September 14, 2023. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
Approximately $2.2 million is available in FY 2024. Award amounts vary. Cost sharing/matching is not required. Project periods will extend 12 months, from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
