    Wells Fargo is committing $1 billion over the next six years to help address housing challenges in the United States. In 2020, they have implemented a $20 million Housing Affordability Breakthrough Innovation Challenge. It's bringing forward new housing affordability ideas in the areas of finance, construction and residential support services.


    Wells Fargo is also donating $175 million to help address public health needs, small business, housing, and financial stability for the most vulnerable populations.


    Wells Fargo also funds other programs that match their priorities, including diversity and inclusion, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

  • Eligibility Details

    Wells Fargo makes contributions to organizations with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, as well as qualified tribal and governmental agencies, including public school systems. Organizations should be based in New Jersey, The foundation will show special interest in organizations serving the following counties:
    • North New Jersey: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, Warren
    • South New Jersey: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Salem

    Deadline Details

    Grant requests are reviewed from February through October 1 each calendar year. Local decisions are typically made within 90 to 120 days of application. While proposals may be submitted after October 1, know that they will not be reviewed until the following year's cycle opens.
