    Summary

The East Bay Community Foundation partner with community to champion quality education for all students, fight for good jobs, and to lift up the voices that often go unheard. As a trusted community partner, they invest in organizations with deep roots in community, incubate bold ideas with the goal of building powerful community voice, and advance partnerships and policies – all in service of a Just East Bay.

The East Bay Community Foundation has four factors that it believes are critical to advancing a just region:

    • Strong Organizations
    • Courageous Government
    • Thriving Businesses
    • Engaged Donors

The Foundation provides funding for the following project categories:

    • Early Childhood Success: Ensuring that all kids have early education that nurtures them today, and sets them up for success in the future.
    • Arts & Environment: Investing in the solutions that will transition us to a sustainable and economically healthy future. Sparking social change and building community through the voices of artists.
    • Economic Empowerment: Creating opportunities so that everyone - starting with those living on the brink - has a secure foundation on which to build a good life.
    • Policy Advocacy & Civic Engagement: Lifting up the voices of those that often go unheard - whether at a community meeting, City Hall, or ballot box.
