    Giving mainly for higher and secondary education and social and family services, including youth and child welfare agencies, family planning, and programs for the aged, the disadvantaged, and the homeless; support also for the arts and cultural programs, health and hospitals, conservation programs, and historical preservation. Needs of the State of Delaware have priority.
     

    History of Funding

    The Crystal Trust Foundation has given a total of $7,942,992 in grants in 2016. Recent awardees include: A Door of Hope Pregnancy Center, ALS of Greater Philadelphia, Barclay Friends, Bayhealth Foundation, and Beebe Medical Foundation.

    The Crystal Trust Foundation was established in 1947 in Deleware. The foundation does not maintain a website. Please contact the foundation to verify eligibility prior to submission of a full application. Funds may be used for the following purposes:
    • Building and renovations
    • Capital and infrastructure
    • Capital campaigns
    • Equipment
    • Land acquisitions
    No grants to individuals, or for endowment funds, research, scholarships, fellowships, or matching gifts.

  • Eligibility Details

    Giving primarily is limited to non profit organizations in Delaware and Philadelphia with emphasis on New Castle county.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are to be submitted by September 30, annually. Initial approach should be with a Proposal. An application form is not required. Applicants should submit the following:
    1. Brief history of organization and description of its mission
    2. Detailed description of project and amount of funding requested
    3. Copy of IRS Determination Letter
    4. Copy of most recent annual report/audited financial statement/990
    5. Listing of board of directors, trustees, officers and other key people and their affiliations

    Award Details

    Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Awards are up to $1,000,000. Most grants range from $50,000 to $100,000.
