    The American Baptist Foundation supports the stewardship by providing gift planning, gift management, endowment fund management, and educational resources in harmony with the mission of the faith family. The Foundation's gift planning and financial services offer a convenient resource aimed at reducing duplication of efforts while enhancing the effectiveness in increasing the financial resources for the American Baptist witness for Christ in the future.


    The Virginia and Gordon Palmer Trust of the American Baptist Foundation (VGPTABF) is pleased to partner with the Multi-Region Corp for the 2020 grant cycle. Through this Palmer Grant Cycle, ABF and ABHMS will be looking to fund projects for applications that bridge common divides in this nation as they address challenges. Projects that bring together people who are economically, culturally and/or generationally diverse will get highest consideration. ABHMS will be looking for collaborations that help us see” one another better and celebrate that everyone is made in the image of God.


    International Ministries Palmer Grant 2021 Cycle

    Theme: Empowering Partners and Personnel to Spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in Word and in Deed.


    International Ministries and the American Baptist Foundation invite proposals for projects that will initiate or strengthen the capacity of partners and personnel in God's mission to share the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the borders of the United States and Puerto Rico. Proposals may focus developing physical, spiritual, or relational capital for increased effectiveness in works of evangelism and discipleship, education, peace and justice and other ministries through which individuals and communities may experience healing and wholeness, and so that all may know and see the glory of God's one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14)


    ABF Palmer Grant 2021 Grant Cycle - In Partnership with Multi-Region Corp:

    Theme: "In the Aftermath: Renewing the Soul of a Leader"


    Through this Palmer Grant Cycle, ABF and MRC will be looking to fund projects that are focused on creating opportunities for participants to deepen their understanding of God's call to get away with me and…recover your life.” Deepening our relationship with God, deepening our relationships with family and friends, deepening our relationships among our collegial community and our congregations, and deepening our relationship with ourselves and understanding of our own needs leads to becoming healthy, vibrant followers of God. May we all be blessed by the learnings of this grant cycle.

    The Virginia and Gordon Palmer, Jr. Trust was created in 1999 as a permanent endowment to the American Baptist Foundation (ABF). The Trust is to be administered by ABF in accordance with established guidelines and principles. Grants are to be utilized for programs and projects unable to be funded through normal operating budgets.

    2021 International Ministries Palmer Grant 2021 Cycle Description are being accepted Octber 14, 2021, through Decmeber 5, 2021.

    2021 Multi-region Corp Giving Cycle are being accepted May 31, 2021, through July 31, 2021.

    Similar timeframes are anticipated annually.

    Award Details

    Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $25,000 and will be determined based on need and merit for projects and programs.
